AORR Attends the CIOR In-Between-Meetings / IBM2 Conference and the SPRING FIELD 19 exercise in Estonia
Between 7 and 11 My 2019, one representative of the Romanian Reserve Officers Association (AORR), col. (r) Crăişor-Constantin IONIŢĂ, PhD, participated at the In-Between-Meetings / IBM2 Conference of the Inter-allied Confederation of Reserve Officers (CIOR), held at Tallinn, in Estonia. The officer was accompanied by a representative of the Personnel and Mobilization Division / Defense Staff, Col. Adrian VASILIU.
Besides the main goal of preparing the CIOR Summer Congress, IBM2 was correlated, for the first time, with practical activities such as visiting the Estonian Armed Forces Exercise “SPRING FIELD 19”, the largest exercise involving the Estonian Reserve Forces, as well as shooting in the Fire Range of the Estonian Defense League (EDL) with the 5,66-inch Galil automatic rifle and the 9-inch USP Heckler & Koch pistol.
The Partnership Agreement between the AORR and the Estonian Reserve Officers Association (EROK) was concluded during the conference proceedings.
The AORR Delegate presented concrete proposals on the organization of CIOR (CLA) language courses in Romania in 2020. A Cyber Security Questionnaire was also sent to the Member States’ representatives, in order to be completed by the end of May 2019.
AORR’s intention to increase the participation / involvement of Young Voluntary Reserve Officers in CIOR’s specialized courses will be materialize during the CIOR Summer Congress, when the first two young reserve officers will attend the course dedicated for this category of officers (YROW) in Tallinn, between 03 and 10 August 2019.
